Maintenance and Ramp Assistance

Guarantee of well-maintened GSE availability at all times

TCR offers its experience in repair and maintenance. Our services encompass 2 different solutions: ramp assistance and maintenance in our workshops in order to perform:

  • Optimal service
  • Maximal security level

Our TCR Service Centres have been set up to ensure that a GSE fleet is always readily available. By using Just-in-Time and Total Quality Management service levels, we ensure that:

  • TCR technicians are continuously trained in the repair of both motorised and non-motorised GSE
  • Preventative maintenance programmes are set up to reduce unexpected breakdowns
  • Special agreements can be established to ensure 24-hour emergency repair
  • Spare parts availability is guaranteed so repairs can be undertaken without delay.

Two solutions for repair and maintenance

To achieve maximum customer’s satisfaction, we have established the highest quality day-to-day operations by setting up two types of repair and maintenance facilities:

1. Mobile workshops – Ramp assistance:

Our fleet of mobile workshops means that we can respond immediately to customer requests for emergency servicing and repair breakdown on airside. As our mobile workshops contain the most commonly needed spare parts, repair and maintenance jobs can be done on the spot.

  • Well-equipped mobile workshops
  • QuickTime response to minor on-ramp emergencies
  • On-line internet and telecommunication devices

2. Fixed workshops - maintenance:

Located on the airside of all our European bases, our fixed workshops are equipped with the latest equipment such as working pits and lifting materials to repair and maintain even the heaviest motorised and non-motorised GSE on site within the shortest possible timeframes.

  • Well-equipped airside workshops
  • Qualified technicians
  • Efficient spare-parts policy
  • Advanced technical know-how
  • Awareness of local security and environmental regulations
  • On-line technical data management

Service

An optimal service is our key objective, we have adapted our whole organisation around our customers' operations:

Every customer is assigned a dedicated TCR technical airside team and a TCR supervisor to deal with daily maintenance services.

The responsibilities of TCR's technical airside team are to

  • Ensure that all equipment is operational
  • Undertake preventative and curative maintenance
  • Transport equipment for maintenance to our Service Centres
  • Respond to all emergency calls (our hot line provides breakdown coverage at weekends and at night)
  • Ensure the hourly usage of all equipment is in line with maintenance planning.

Safety and Security Policy

Safety is of paramount concern to TCR. All work undertaken by our technicians is detailed in an inspection document, which is checked by our workshop managers for quality and safety. This document is then placed in each vehicle before it is put into service.

To ensure our technicians are up-to-date with local, national and international safety procedures and regulations, TCR maintains a comprehensive technical library.

Ensuring a secure environment is also part of our focus on safety. All TCR personnel must adhere to the strict regulations set down in our Security Policy. These regulations state that all our technicians must wear identification badges and must carry the necessary authorisation to enter airside. TCR personnel must also act responsibly and with a concern for safety at all times. From identifying and immobilising dangerous equipment to organising for the safe disposal of all waste products, safety is at the heart of everything we do.
